When a plan ends, nothing in your library is deleted.
Bookmarks from your browsers, your saved X posts, Eagle libraries, images and files you add, and notes you write — in one library you can browse as a visual board or a list.
Super Clipboard adds what you copy: nothing until you turn it on, and you can pause it any time. Copies that password managers mark as secret are skipped, but Fold can’t recognise a secret an app doesn’t mark — so pause it while you handle anything sensitive.
Safari, Chrome, Arc, Firefox, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi, Dia, Comet and Chromium, kept up to date while Fold is open; for any other browser, add an exported bookmarks file. Safari keeps its bookmarks behind Full Disk Access, and Fold shows you how to grant it.
Fold only reads your bookmarks — it never changes them. Tags, notes and collections live in Fold’s own library.
A Mac with Apple Silicon running macOS 15 or later. Search by meaning, look-alike pictures and colour search run on the models that come with the app — no cloud AI, and nothing uploaded.
Ask your library, summaries and prompts from saved images need macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence turned on. An optional vision model (about 1.5 GB, downloaded once from Hugging Face) gives richer descriptions of pictures.
No. It’s a database on your Mac, with no account and no tracking. Fold goes online to fetch titles and previews for the pages you save, to check for updates, and — only if you use them — to keep X bookmarks current, download the vision model, and publish the collections you share.
To show site icons it sends a site’s host name, not the full link, to Google’s and DuckDuckGo’s icon services. The privacy policy lists every connection.
Anyone with the link can open the board in a browser and leave comments. A board carries the collection’s saved links; pictures you uploaded stay on your Mac, and your notes and tags stay out unless you include them.
Stop sharing takes the link down straight away. Copies someone already downloaded can’t be recalled, and pictures or pages a content network has cached may keep loading for up to a day. The board’s title, its list of links and its comments stay in our records until you email us the link to erase them — the privacy policy has the details.
Today’s version is free, with everything. Fold Pro is coming, with a 14-day trial of everything Pro does on your Mac; if you installed Fold before then, your library isn’t limited. Sharing is hosted online, so it needs a subscription, even during the trial. One subscription covers one Mac.
You buy it inside Fold through Polar, our merchant of record, and your license key arrives by email. Cancel anytime in Polar’s customer portal; Pro stays on until the paid period ends. Prices are in US dollars, tax is shown at checkout, and the refund policy applies.
When a plan ends, nothing in your library is deleted — and deleting items, clearing clipboard history and stopping a share are free on every plan.
It’s Fold’s library window rebuilt for the web over a made-up library, so you can try it without installing anything. Browsing, filters, notes, and word and colour search run in your browser.
What only a Mac can do — watching your clipboard, importing from browsers, publishing a board — uses sample stand-ins, and the AI results were made by Fold on a Mac. Each is labelled where it appears, and nothing you add leaves the page.
